Volunteer Application

Volunteer Status:

• I understand that my role with Promise of Texas Sanctuary (“the Organization”) is voluntary and that I will not receive compensation.
• I acknowledge that I am not covered by workers' compensation or medical insurance through the Organization.

Assumption of Risk:

• I understand that working with animals involves inherent risks, including but not limited to bites, scratches, and animal-related injury.
• I voluntarily assume all risks associated with my volunteer activities.

Release of Liability:

• I release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Promise of Texas Sanctuary, its directors, officers, agents, and volunteers from any and all claims arising from my participation.
• This includes, but is not limited to, personal injury, property damage, illness, or any other harm.

Indemnification:

• I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Organization against any claims resulting from my actions while volunteering.

Medical Responsibility:

• I understand that I am responsible for my own medical care and insurance coverage.

Photo/Video Release:

• I grant permission for photographs or videos taken during my volunteer activities to be used for promotional or educational purposes.
• I waive any right to compensation for such use.

Code of Conduct:

• I agree to treat all animals with care and respect.
• I will follow all safety guidelines and act in a professional and ethical manner.

Adherence to Policies:

• I agree to follow all policies and procedures of the Organization.
• Failure to comply may result in termination of my volunteer services.

Termination of Services:

• I understand that my volunteer participation may be terminated at any time, with or without cause, at the discretion of the Organization.
